Choli lehenga
A Choli Lehenga is a traditional outfit commonly worn by women in India, especially for festive occasions, weddings, and cultural events. It consists of three main components:
Choli: This is a short blouse or top, typically fitted to the body, with various styles like sleeveless, short-sleeved, or full-sleeved. The choli is usually adorned with intricate embroidery, beads, sequins, and other embellishments.
Lehenga: A lehenga is a long, flowing skirt that is often heavily embroidered and is designed to be worn at the waist. It is made of luxurious fabrics like silk, satin, or georgette, and is often embellished with threads, stones, or mirrors. The lehenga is usually paired with a matching dupatta (scarf) or shawl, which is draped over the shoulder or head.
Dupatta (optional): While not always worn, a dupatta is a long scarf or shawl that complements the lehenga, draped around the shoulders or over the head for a more traditional look.
The choli lehenga set is popular in many parts of India and is commonly seen at weddings, festivals like Diwali, or dances like Garba, and can be found in a range of colors, patterns, and designs.
